A successful questionnaire for a postal self-completion survey must speak for itself. If the reader isn't sure what we mean, we won't be there to explain. So we have had lots of practice and success at
- writing text people will read and understand as we meant them to; and
- designing the whole document to make it inviting, and easy to find your way about.
We are expert at using plain English and can "translate" other documents, not just questionnaires, into plain English for you.
Using plain English is...
- more friendly
- more helpful
- more open
- more likely to get the message through

Quotations
Send us a copy of the existing document and tell us what you want us to do.
If you can, send it as a computer file, preferably an MS Word .doc file, attached to an email. Click the rotating e-mail link below to send us mail. If you have only the printed version, send that. We can probably scan it and use OCR to convert it to a computer file, so you probably won't have to pay for us to retype the original.
Be sure to include your contact details.
Add any special instructions. For example:
- Tell us who the document is aimed at, if it isn't obvious by looking at it.
- Tell us to work on design & layout as well as the text.
- Say if we are free to rearrange the order in which the points are made and the headings used.
- Request return edited in Word with changes highlighted for you to accept or reject.
- Say which version of Word, or other word processing software you use.
- Set a deadline for completion.
We will send our quotation as soon as possible, usually the same day.
