With over 105,000 members it is the professional body for those involved in the management and development of people. Membership of the CIPD demonstrates a commitment to high standards of professionalism and to continuing professional development.
Anyone can log in to the site but some services are restricted to members of the Institute.
Independent Consultants' Forum
A group of independent business consultants, all CIPD qualified and with an HR emphasis but offering a very wide range of services. The group is based in South-West London, but members provide services over a wide area of the UK and beyond.

The US counterpart of CIPD.
Useful and interesting free site with lots of HR and related material. A simple registration process with no required personal information gets you in.
A USA based directory with no access restrictions but heavy US bias in the lists of suppliers shown. Even so, can be a useful source of quick reference material.
